For Creators

Is Trakly really free for creators?

Yes — 100% free, forever. Creators never pay anything. The business model is affiliate-led: you earn 20% recurring commission every time a brand you refer becomes a paying Trakly subscriber.

How do I earn commission?

Every brand that signs up via your creator card is permanently attributed to you. When they start a paid subscription, you earn 20% of their monthly plan — automatically, every month, for 12 months. Payouts go straight to your connected bank account via Stripe.

What is the creator card?

Your creator card is a live, shareable page at trytrakly.com/c/your-handle. It shows your ROI score, engagement rate, follower count, and estimated deal value. It updates in real time as brands view it and as sales roll in — much more compelling than a static media kit.

What is the ROI score?

The ROI score (0–100) is a single number that summarises your value to brands. It factors in your engagement rate, follower count, posting consistency, and niche benchmark. A score above 75 is considered high-performing.

Which platforms are supported?

Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. We pull your stats automatically each week via the official platform APIs. You can also update your stats manually from your dashboard at any time.

How do I get paid?

Connect your bank account via Stripe Connect in your dashboard. Once connected, commissions are paid out automatically on the 1st of each month for the previous month's activity.

What happens if a brand upgrades or downgrades their plan?

Your commission is always 20% of whatever the brand is actively paying. If they upgrade, you earn more. If they downgrade, your commission adjusts accordingly. Commission windows last 12 months from the brand's first subscription date.

For Brands

How does the free trial work?

You get 14 days of full access with no credit card required. The trial starts when you complete the onboarding flow. You can track one creator's campaigns and see live conversion data during the trial.

How does the tracking pixel work?

You add a single JavaScript snippet to your order confirmation or thank-you page. When a customer completes a purchase, the pixel fires a conversion event to Trakly. It's tiny (~500 bytes), async, and has zero impact on your page speed.

Is the pixel GDPR compliant?

Yes. The pixel only captures the order ID and order value — no personal data, no raw IP addresses. We use a one-way hash for session deduplication. You should still mention conversion tracking in your privacy policy.

Can I track multiple creators?

The Starter plan (£19/mo) supports one creator and one campaign. The Growth plan (£79/mo) supports up to 10 creators with unlimited campaigns. The Agency plan (£249/mo) supports unlimited creators and campaigns.

How is attribution handled?

Attribution is last-touch, 30-day cookie window. When a visitor clicks a creator's referral link, we set a first-touch cookie on their browser. If they complete a purchase within 30 days, that conversion is attributed to the creator.

Do I pay commission to the creator directly?

No. Creator commissions are paid by Trakly from your subscription fee — you don't handle creator payments at all. The 20% creator commission is factored into Trakly's pricing.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your campaign data and conversion history are retained for 90 days after cancellation so you can export records. After 90 days, data is permanently deleted.

Technical

Does the realtime feed on creator cards require any setup?

No setup required. The live notification feed is powered by Supabase Realtime and updates automatically whenever a new sale, card view, or brand click is recorded. It works on any modern browser.

What if my pixel fires the same order twice?

Trakly deduplicates conversions by order ID. If the same order ID is received more than once, subsequent events are silently ignored — you will never be double-charged or see duplicate conversions.

Is my data secure?

All data is stored in Supabase (Postgres) with Row Level Security enabled — each user can only access their own records. Connections are encrypted in transit. Stripe handles all payment data; Trakly never stores card details.
